Kess Media is a family-owned photography and video business based in Sydney, on Dharawal Country. Founded in 2018 by Alex and Kylie Kesselaar, we're a small, close-knit team with a wide range. Federal government image libraries to school prospectus shoots, industrial sites to aged care training videos. We work with governments, infrastructure companies, and purpose-driven organisations, the kind of clients where the visual story really changes the outcome. What sets us apart isn't scale. It's the fact that we care about every frame we make. And that shows in the work. Alex brings two decades of experience across photography, video, and drone operations. Kylie brings sharp operational instincts and a clear understanding of what clients actually need. Together, we run a practice that's lean by design and thorough by habit. We make the creative process simple, clear, and human, because that's what good work actually requires.

Alex Kesselaar
Co-Director / Photographer & Videographer
Alex leads shoots across photography and video, including corporate, industrial, drone, and documentary work. He spent months travelling Australia for Austrade's National Brand Image Library, documenting hydrogen plants, farms, and everyday Australians. He asks better questions before picking up a camera, and it shows in the work.
Kylie Kesselaar
Co-Director / Operations & Finance
Kylie runs the business side of Kess Media. She manages finance, contracts, invoicing and administration, making sure every project is set up properly and nothing slips between the shoot and the final invoice. She is also a nurse, and brings expertise in the health sector to Kess Media.
Georgia Kesselaar
Junior Photographer & Videographer / Video Editor & Content Creator
Georgia shoots alongside Alex as a junior photographer and videographer, then takes the footage through to the finished edit. She cuts video, adds motion graphics and turns each shoot into content for social, web and case studies. She also leads image curation once a shoot wraps, and builds her skills behind the camera with every job.
Lilly Brimmer
Photographer & Production Assistant
Lilly is based in the Mid North Coast of New South Wales and loves to travel for work, which makes her a natural fit for location shoots and regional jobs. She attends shoots, assists Alex on set, handles file management and Picflow gallery delivery, and is working toward owning small photography jobs end-to-end.
