Kess Media is a family-owned photography and video business based in Sydney, on Dharawal Country. Founded in 2018 by Alex and Kylie Kesselaar, we're a small, close-knit team with a wide range. Federal government image libraries to school prospectus shoots, industrial sites to aged care training videos. We work with governments, infrastructure companies, and purpose-driven organisations, the kind of clients where the visual story genuinely changes the outcome. What sets us apart isn't scale. It's the fact that we care about every frame we make. And that shows in the work. Alex brings two decades of experience across photography, video, and drone operations. Kylie brings sharp operational instincts and a clear understanding of what clients actually need. Together, we run a practice that's lean by design and thorough by habit. We make the creative process simple, clear, and human, because that's what good work actually requires.

Alex Kesselaar
Co-Director / Photographer & Videographer
Alex leads shoots across photography and video, including corporate, industrial, drone, and documentary work. He spent months travelling Australia for Austrade's National Brand Image Library, documenting hydrogen plants, farms, and everyday Australians. He asks better questions before picking up a camera, and it shows in the work.
Kylie Kesselaar
Co-Director / Producer & Training Video Specialist
Kylie brings a clinical background to the creative industry. She trained as a nurse before moving into production. That experience gives Kess Media genuine credibility in health, aged care, and disability environments that most studios can't replicate. She produces, directs, and manages the projects that require as much care about the people on screen as the images themselves.
Georgia Kesselaar
Content & Creative Lead
Georgia owns the creative and written voice of Kess Media. She writes case studies, blog posts, website copy, and social content, and manages the platforms they live on. She also leads image curation after every shoot, builds AI workflows that make the whole team faster, and supports business development with polished outreach and tender responses.
Lilly Brimmer
Photographer & Production Assistant
Lilly is based in the Mid North Coast of New South Wales and loves to travel for work, which makes her a natural fit for location shoots and regional jobs. She attends shoots, assists Alex on set, handles file management and Picflow gallery delivery, and is working toward owning small photography jobs end-to-end.
